| Yeast Starter |
| 1) 1/2 cup of malt extract |
| 2) 1 pint of water |
| 3) Boil 15 minutes |
| 4) Turn off heat, cool in cold sink water (do not
refrigerate!) |
| 5)Pou dry yeast into 90'F plain water. In 5 min. stir and pour into 90'F starter solution, Liquid yeast gets poured directly into 90'F starter solution. |
| 6) Stir vigorously to aerate and dissolve |
| 7) Attach air lock or cover loosely, |
| 8) Allow to ferment 12 hrs. |
| 9) After thick head has formed add starter to main
batch. |
| If starter has gone flat, add more extract & wait
until fermentation is active. |
